AERA Honorable Mention Book Award

Lucinda Carpsecken's edited text Love in the Time of Ethnography: Essays on Connection as a Focus and Basis for Research earned Honorable Mention for AERA's Qualitative Research SIG Book of the Year (2019).

Suparna Bose was awarded the prestigious Won Joon Yoon Scholarship from the Office of the Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Multicultural Affairs at Indiana University (2019).

Dissertation Awards

Dr. Pengfei Zhao's Dissertation Changing Fate: The Cultural Revolution’s Rural Youth in Transition to Post-Mao China earned 2 international dissertation awards: The International Congress on Qualitative Inquiry Dissertation Award (2019) and the Dissertation Award of the International Institute for Qualitative Methodology (2017).
